Cal-ICMA Congratulates 2026 ICMA Annual Conference Scholarship Recipients
Cal-ICMA proudly congratulates the recipients of the 2026 ICMA Annual Conference Scholarships. Each year, the Cal-ICMA Scholarships and Events Committee recognizes emerging leaders and dedicated professionals who demonstrate a strong commitment to public service and the continued advancement of the local government management profession.
This year’s scholarship recipients will attend the 2026 ICMA Annual Conference, held October 17–21 in Long Beach, California. The conference will bring together local government professionals from across the country for leadership and professional development, networking, and educational programming focused on the opportunities and challenges facing communities and public-sector organizations.
Following a competitive selection process, the Cal-ICMA Scholarships and Events Committee awarded scholarships to the following individuals:
Full Scholarship: Allison Wang – Student, University of Southern California
Full Scholarship: Carmen Towler – Acting Young Adult Workforce Program Manager, San Francisco Office of Economic and Workforce Development
Partial Scholarship: Siew Chin Yeong – Director of Public Works, City of Pleasanton
Partial Scholarship: Tracy Sullivan – Interim Assistant to the City Manager, City of Santa Clarita
The full scholarships provide complimentary conference registration and a $1,000 reimbursable travel stipend, while the partial scholarships provide complimentary registration and a $500 reimbursable travel stipend.
During the conference, recipients will participate in professional development sessions, connect with ICMA members and local government leaders from across the country, and attend the California Reception Mixer. They will also share highlights from their conference experience through social media and contribute reflections for a future Cal-ICMA newsletter.
