Cal-ICMA is proud to support a series of Committees that help shape the direction and impact of our organization. Each Committee is made up of Cal-ICMA members, with roles and responsibilities established by the President and Board.

We strive for balanced representation across our Committees – considering factors such as agency size, geographic diversity, and membership type (city, county, special district, and academic). Above all, we are committed to fostering diversity in all forms, including gender, age, ethnicity, and personal background. 

We have three opportunities to volunteer with Cal-ICMA:

• Two At-Large Board seats (Term: 2026-2028)

• Three Vice Chair roles (Term: 2026-2027)

  • Please note that Vice Chairs are expected to serve in the Chair role at the end of their one-year term.

• Various Committee member openings (No Term)

All terms are aligned with the Cal-ICMA Board cycle, running from February to February in conjunction with the Cal Cities City Managers Conference and new appointments will become effective in February 2026.
