Volunteer with Cal-ICMA: A Message from the President

Dear Cal-ICMA Members,

Cal-ICMA is accepting volunteer applications for its 2027–2028 committees. Whether you are a city or county manager, an assistant or deputy manager, or an emerging professional, we encourage you to apply. Below is a list of the committees taking applications, and a full committee description can be found online.

Committees:

  • Budget

  • Ethics

  • Manager Support Initiatives

  • Marketing and Communications

  • Nominations, Governance, and Membership

  • Scholarships and Events

  • Sponsorship and Corporate Partners

  • Talent Initiative

Existing committee members must submit a new application. Terms are for one year and coincide with the Cal Cities City Manager’s Conference in February 2027. Applications take into account geography, agency size, experience, career stage, and interest.

To volunteer, complete the Volunteer Interest Application by October 30.
