Call for Volunteers! Annual Call-a-Thon Feb 12, 2026

Colleagues,

Cal-ICMA is hosting our traditional Call-a-Thon for emerging leaders on Thurs morning, Feb 12, 2026, from 8-9 am at the CalCities City Managers Department conference in Napa.  (A Call-a-Thon is like speed coaching but is done over the telephone.)  If you are attending the conference, we’d like you to serve as a coach.

City Managers, Assistant City Managers, and other Senior Leaders attending the conference will call a participating MMANC or MMASC member at 8:05 am and 8:30 am on Feb 12 for a 20-minute coaching conversation.  Coaches will be done with the two calls by 8:50 am.

During the two calls, the participating MMANC and MMASC member can ask you as a coach a career development question or two, seek advice about a problematic work situation, or ask for any other career guidance.

The only thing you need to serve as a coach is a smartphone.  You will be provided with the telephone numbers to call for the two coaching conversations.
